Meet The Team

Providing you with the support you need means building trust and good business relationships. At Camfield Chapman Lowe, our experienced team work together to do just that.

From within our team, our key initial points of contact are:

Alan Camfield FCA : Director

Alan is one of the directors of the company and founder partner of the practice since it was set up in 1996. Alan qualified as a chartered accountant over 35 years ago and after a brief life as an expat in Bermuda came back to the UK where he has been providing business advisory services to a broad spectrum of SME clients.

Alan is a statutory registered auditor, a member of the ICAEW tax facility and is the office specialist on VAT.

Alan enjoys travelling, a glass of sauvignon blanc, exploring historical sites, another glass of sauvignon blanc, walking, another blanc and sleeping.

Christopher Lowe BSc (Hons) FCA : Director

A founding partner of Camfield Chapman Lowe, Chris is a graduate of the University of London. Following university he joined an international firm of accountants in the City of London, where he qualified as a chartered accountant and is now both a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, and a member of the ICAEW  Corporate Finance and Auditing Faculties.

Chris is a specialist in advising start up business and has a particular interest in all aspects of corporate finance, particularly business acquisitions and disposals. He is a forward thinking and proactive accountant, who enjoys working closely with his diverse range of clients, advising them on profit maximisation whilst always seeking tax saving opportunities.

Outside work, Chris closely follows the fortunes of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC & Worcestershire CCC and spends countless hours renovating his period property. He is involved in the work of many local charities and good causes whilst still finding time to spend with his family!

Gill Bland ACCA, ATT : Personal Tax Manager

Gill joined Camfield Chapman Lowe in February 2017 with 18 years personal tax experience in public practice.

Gill deals with all aspects of personal tax, preparation of income and partnership tax returns, advising clients of their tax position, preparation of P11D forms, responding to correspondence HMRC enquiries and technical research for the directors.

Outside of work, Gill belongs to a local book club and classic car club.  She enjoys travelling, exploring new places, walking, socialising and sampling many different gins!!

Andrew Lowe BA(Hons) : Manager

Andrew joined Camfield Chapman Lowe following his graduation from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in Business, that specialised in start-up business.

Andrew manages our Cloud Accounting & Bookkeeping Department, his team of staff are responsible for helping clients with day to day bookkeeping, VAT, CIS Returns and management accounts.

With Making Tax Digital just around the corner, Andrew and his team will be liaising with all our clients to make their transition to the Cloud as smooth as possible.

When Andrew is not at work he is either following Wolverhampton Wanderers FC and attends matches as frequently as possible or spending quality time with his family.

Ann Hannigan FCCA : Manager

Ann joined CCL in September 2017 having started out working for a small practice, then moving to PWC working in their tax department for many years, before returning to a small practice again.

Ann has a wealth of experience dealing with the needs of small to medium sized businesses, sole traders, partnerships and limited companies from start-ups to well established businesses. She enjoys building relationships with her clients and watching them grow and prosper.

Ann also enjoys managing and training a team of accounts staff to provide a high standard of services from VAT returns, book keeping, management accounts to accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies.

Outside of work Ann enjoys spending time with her family, socialising with friends, eating out and walking her dog.

Rose Johnston FCA : Manager

After training with a small firm in Cambridge, Rose joined KPMG in Milton Keynes, gaining audit experience with international companies then moving to the setup, training and management of a department specialising in small business accounting. A move to Maidstone saw her return to a local firm with increasing emphasis on tax compliance and building relationships with local clients.

Rose has worked for Camfield Chapman Lowe for over 10 years and manages a team of accounts and audit staff. She enjoys the variety of work which enables her to build strong relationships with clients and to be able to respond quickly and knowledgeably to their needs.

Outside of work, Rose enjoys singing in the local choir, taking walking holidays and reading.
